Lodewijk started working in the selection profession in 1992 at the HR department of Unilever’s headquarters. In 1994 he joined one of the largest international search, selection and consultancy organisations and stayed within this firm until the end of 2006. There he advanced from Senior Consultant to Business Unit Manager. In the last position he was responsible for the daily management of the Rotterdam office.
In 2002 Lodewijk was assigned as International Business Manager, responsible for all international search, selection and consultancy regarding management board, senior executive and (senior) professional positions. In addition he fulfilled the role of International Project Manager for (international) organisational change trajectories for multinationals and professional service providers.
He continued doing that, until he decided to join forces with Paul van Maarschalkerwaart to start Confius Executive Search.
